This year Yesterday and Today Frame Shop will celebrate their 35th anniversary through out the year with various events and specials. One special thank you to customers is that every 35th customer throughout 2009 will receive a $35 discount on their framing or purchase. Customers can also pick up free picture hangers anytime you visit the shop in 2009.

Also new in 2009 as part of our year-long 35th anniversary celebration, Yesterday and Today Frame Shop will be a collection site for Cell Phones for Soldiers. This organization turns old cell phones into more than 12 million minutes of prepaid calling for U.S. troops stationed overseas. Teenagers Robbie and Brittany Berquist founded Cell Phones for Soldiers. The non-profit organization has raised millions of dollars in donations and distributed more than 500,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers serving overseas.

The phones are sent to ReCellular, which pays Cells Phones for Soldiers. Half of the phones ReCellular processes are reconditioned and resold to wholesale companies in over 40 countries. Handsets and components that cannot be refurbished are recycled to reclaim valuable materials. In 2008, ReCellular recycled more than 1 million pounds of scrap phones and accessories.
